What does a 0–100 website score mean? Puluno Explorer explained
Score 0–100, grade A–F and four report areas — what they mean, what the Explorer checks from one URL, and how to audit your homepage free without an account.
- Explorer
- WordPress
- SEO
- Speed
- Security
You paste a domain and within a minute you see a 0–100 number and a handful of concrete fixes. It is not magic or an “SEO score from an ad” — it is a plain-language summary of your homepage’s technical health, fetched the way a browser sees it from the outside. This article explains what each part of the report means, what we do (and do not) check from one URL, and what to do next.
No account, nothing to install — just your site address in the Explorer.
Why the homepage is enough
Most visitors — including from ads — land on the homepage. That is where they decide whether to trust you, wait for the page to load, and find contact details. The free Explorer therefore scans the homepage the same way a normal browser would.
It is not meant to crawl your entire store, every blog post, or wp-admin in one free run — for depth use the WordPress plugin or Explorer Pro. The free scan is a fast first impression.

- 3Nextfix the biggest issue and scan again
Overall score 0–100 and grade A–F
The score rolls findings from several areas into one number. It is not a ranking promise — Google does not invoice you with a single digit and neither do we. It is about priority: “Is the site in good shape, or held back by a few important issues?”
Next to the number you will see a letter from A to F — a quick read, like school grades:
- A90–100
- B80–89
- C70–79
- D60–69
- F0–59
Four areas under the score
The report splits findings into four areas. Each has its own partial score so you can see what hurts most (speed, indexability, …).
Indexability
Can search engines and visitors read and list the page? We check robots.txt, sitemap signals, titles, meta descriptions, canonical, and related flags. A forgotten noindex means the site can be online — but invisible in search. More context: Why Google cannot find you.
Speed
We measure lab Core Web Vitals for the homepage — LCP, CLS, and related signals. Slow load means people leave before they see your offer. Deep dive: Core Web Vitals in plain language.
Security
From the outside we verify HTTPS, basic security headers, and related signals (including DNS and mail where public data allows). This is not a hacker movie — it is browser warnings and customer trust. Related: Is your site secure?.
AI visibility
Chatbots and AI search read sites differently from classic Google. We look at llms.txt, AI bot rules in robots, and related signals. Not every business needs this today — but for B2B it already matters. More: How AI reads your site.
Why “five fixes” and not a hundred bullets
The engine can surface dozens of details. For the first step we intentionally show five priorities — the same idea as Today in Puluno Center in WordPress. The goal: a few meaningful actions today, not a spreadsheet avalanche.
Typical examples:
- an oversized hero image,
- missing security headers,
- a weak title or indexation signal,
- slow largest contentful paint (LCP),
- a missing or empty llms.txt file.
Each item includes a short explanation and time hint so you know whether it is ten minutes in admin or a developer task.
What changes after fixes
When you fix the biggest issue and scan the same URL again in the Explorer, the score should move. In the Puluno plugin you can track similar trends over time — on the free scan the main win is before/after on the same address.
What one URL does not cover
To keep the report fast and readable, the free scan does not crawl your whole site. Specifically:
- we do not open every product or blog post,
- we do not log into WordPress admin,
- we do not promise specific search rankings.
For depth use Puluno SEO and sibling modules in admin, or a one-off Explorer Pro sample from your sitemap.
Walk through the report step by step
- Open the Explorer and enter your domain (e.g.
my-company.com). - Wait about a minute — you will see live scan progress.
- Read the overall score and four areas — which number is worst?
- Work through the five fixes top to bottom — the first item is usually the biggest lever.
- After a change on the site, scan again on the same URL.
WordPress: same logic inside admin
On WordPress? Puluno Center uses the same finding and fix format — plus whole-site audits, background cron, and Apply on selected fixes. The Explorer is the first minute; the plugin is ongoing care.
Summary: The 0–100 score and A–F grade summarize homepage health. Four areas show where it hurts; five fixes say what to do first. Enter your domain in the Explorer, fix the biggest blocker, and verify again — no account and no jargon required.
