Issue codes

title_missing, title_too_long, description_missing, description_too_long

What you see

  • Explorer: title_missing, description_missing, title_too_long, description_too_long.
  • Google preview shows the same title on every page (company name only).
  • Client migrated from another SEO plugin — product meta is empty.
  • Page has an H1 but <title> is empty or generic.

Why it happens

Title and meta description are ad copy in search results. Google may rewrite them, but empty meta means Google invents text.

Common causes:

  • New theme does not map title from H1 / product.
  • Yoast migration without field import.
  • Global template %sitename% without %pagetitle%.
  • Shop: hundreds of products without manual meta (batch Apply).
  • Text too long — not an indexing error, but a bad preview.

Center shows max 5 fixes — on large sites, start with homepage and money pages.

Step by step

  1. Explorer on homepage and 1–2 key URLs (contact, top product).
  2. Puluno SEO Center → Today — Apply missing title/meta.
  3. For products: bulk export/import or list editor (see Meta editor).
  4. For drafts: AI meta — always human review before Apply.
  5. Verify: same URL in Explorer — check length (title ~50–60 chars, meta ~140–155).
  6. GSC: watch CTR after a week — meta shows after re-crawl.

Rollback — undo the change

Meta from Puluno SEO Apply can be reverted in Center (last batch or per page in the editor).

Before bulk Apply on a shop: export existing meta to CSV.

When it is not Puluno

  • Google rewrote the title differently from <title> — normal, not a plugin bug.
  • Issue is page content (thin content) — meta will not fix rankings.
  • Multilingual site without hreflang — fix URL structure, not meta alone.
