Issue codes
yoast_detected, rank_math_detected
What you see
- Finding
yoast_detectedorrank_math_detected. - Two SEO plugins active — duplicate schema, sitemaps, redirects.
- Client: “Move to Puluno but keep all meta.”
- After deactivating Yoast, titles vanish on half the site.
Why it happens
SEO plugins store meta in custom post meta keys. Without import Puluno does not see old data.
Migration risks:
- Duplicate sitemap (
/sitemap_index.xml× 2). - Redirect manager conflict.
- Duplicate schema (Rich Results errors).
.htaccessrules from old plugin.
What Puluno does
| Phase | Module | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Diagnose | Health / Explorer | detect active competitor |
| Apply | SEO | import meta from Yoast / Rank Math (cutover wizard) |
| Verify | Explorer | title/meta/schema without duplicates |
Process: Compatibility, Center.
Step by step
- DB backup before any migration.
- Puluno SEO Center → migration / import — field mapping.
- Compare 5 random URLs in Explorer before/after.
- Deactivate Yoast/Rank Math — do not delete yet (rollback).
- Sitemap: only one plugin generates — Verify Sitemap.
- Schema: JSON-LD Verify.
- After a stable week, remove old plugin.
Rollback — undo the change
Old plugin can be reactivated — meta remain in DB until deleted.
Puluno import can be partially reverted per page in the editor.
When it is not Puluno
- Client keeps Yoast for one feature — dual stack not recommended, client choice.
- Custom meta outside Yoast standard — manual SQL / script.
- Non-WP migration — static export, not WP cutover.
