What is Puluno — a plain guide for beginners
What Puluno does, who it is for, how Explorer and the WordPress plugin work — in plain language, without long reports.

Who this is for
- You run a website (WordPress, shop, business site) and you are not an SEO specialist.
- Google or a colleague mentioned Puluno — you want to know what it is before installing anything.
- Terms like canonical, LCP, or robots.txt are new — we explain them as we go.
Puluno in one sentence
Puluno scans your site, gives a score from 0–100, and shows at most five fixes worth doing first — in plain language, without walls of tables.
It does not replace Google Search Console or a marketing agency. It is a technical guide: what hurts visibility, speed, security, or day-to-day operation — and on WordPress it can apply some fixes for you (with checks and rollback where supported).
Four areas Puluno cares about
You do not need to learn everything at once. Puluno groups work so you can say: *“today I fix this.”*
| Area | What it means for you | Where in Puluno |
|---|---|---|
| Visibility | Can people find you on Google? Does each important page have a sensible title? Does robots.txt block crawlers by mistake? | SEO module, Explorer |
| Speed | Does the site feel slow? Are images unnecessarily large (hard on mobile)? | Pulse, Images |
| Security | Browser warnings? Missing security headers? | Guard, Health |
| Operations | Does the contact form work? Is the site up? | Forms, Guard |
Title = browser tab text and often the Google link text. Robots.txt = a small file that tells search robots what they may crawl.
Two ways to use Puluno
1. Explorer on puluno.io (no install)
- Open Explorer.
- Enter your site URL (e.g.
yourcompany.com). - After a short wait you get a score 0–100, grade A–F, and a findings list.
Explorer usually starts with the homepage — enough for a first impression. It is not a free audit of every URL; for depth use Explorer Pro or the plugin on the full WordPress site.
Details: First Explorer scan.
2. WordPress plugin (whole site in wp-admin)
If you use WordPress:
- Download the plugin from puluno.io/download (free tier).
- In Puluno → Center you get an audit of many URLs (posts, products…).
- The Today screen shows up to 5 tasks — same idea as Explorer. Other findings sit in the full list (Audit in Center, further down on the Explorer page). After verify, we add the next priorities.
Apply = Puluno suggests a fix (e.g. missing meta). Verify = after the fix, it checks the result. For selected issues you can roll back — not blind “click and hope”.

Modules — you do not need all of them
Puluno is a family of modules. Each covers a different part of the site. Take only what you need.
| Module | In one line |
|---|---|
| SEO | Site audit, titles, links, Search Console |
| Pulse | WordPress performance and load |
| Images | Shrinks images so the site loads better on phones |
| Forms | Forms and that leads actually arrive |
| Health | Plugin conflicts, WP housekeeping |
| Guard | Uptime watch and SSL certificate |
Most modules have a free tier; Pro unlocks more URLs, exports, and advanced fixes. Overview: Products · Pricing.
Who Puluno is for
- Business or shop owner — you want confidence the site is healthy without weekly PDF reports.
- DIY site manager — you need priority, not an encyclopedia of errors.
- Agency — quick client scan, shared report, same finding language in cloud and Center.
What Puluno does not do
- No guaranteed Google rankings — it helps with on-site technical quality, not “#1 overnight”.
- Not Ahrefs / keyword research — no search volume or competitor backlink charts.
- Not one-click fix for everything — each finding says what can be automated, what is manual; on WP see Apply → Verify.
- Not a WAF — Guard watches uptime and SSL; it does not replace a full security stack.
Recommended path
- Explorer — enter URL, read score and first findings (~5 minutes).
- Like the direction and site is WordPress? → Download plugin, first Center audit.
- Open Today — one task, not the whole backlog.
- Questions? → Support or Manual.
Mini glossary
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Audit / scan | Automated site check (like a health screening). |
| Score 0–100 | Overall technical grade — orientation, not a contract KPI. |
| Meta title / description | Text for Google and social previews. |
| SSL | Encryption (padlock in the browser). Guard can warn before cert expiry. |
