Puluno Explorer — our crawler

When someone runs a site scan on puluno.io, our server makes a one-off fetch of the public page to assess technical SEO and health. Here is everything you need to verify, allow, or block our crawler.

Egress IP address: 167.233.253.72
Hostname (reverse DNS): crawler.puluno.io

How to verify it is really us

We use forward-confirmed reverse DNS — the same principle as Googlebot. It cannot be spoofed by anyone else:

Reverse DNS (PTR) of our egress IP returns a hostname ending in crawler.puluno.io.
Forward DNS (A record) for crawler.puluno.io returns that same IP.

If both match, it is our legitimate crawler.

How we behave

We fetch only the page the user requests (homepage, and optionally a sample from your sitemap).
We respect robots.txt (Googlebot rules and our own).
Low frequency, no login, no writes, no form submissions.
We read public content only — nothing behind authentication.

How to allow us (recommended)

If a security layer (Imunify360, LiteSpeed, firewall) blocks our scan, add an exception by the User-Agent or IP listed above. After reverse-DNS verification it is safe to allow us.

How to block us

If you do not want us to scan the site, add a robots.txt rule for Puluno-Explorer, or block our User-Agent or IP at the firewall. We respect it.
